Very light bodied and an OK smoke if you are lighting it up for a morning smoke with coffee. Tragic flaw on this stick was to get the paper sleeve off of this stick you had to spend too much time to avoid tearing the wrapper.

Great review and I couldn't agree more! My current favorite and it has been for awhile. This is a "special ocassion" AND "I've had a crappy day and it needs to get better" cigar. Impressively consistent and worth every pennny.

This was a rocket in my eyes.....not even worthly of a yard-stick. If I were guess, this stick had possibly a corojo wrapper and it barely gave any flavor. There was nothing else happening with this stick....basically just tasted bland tobacco. Nothing stood out. Only pros was the burn and draw. The overall look of the cigar was veiny and rustic. Would not recommend!

First off....I want to state this was not a robusto. It was more of a corona size IMO. I had 2 labeled #133....so I hope they were correct. Second I wanna go on record stating that I am 99% positive this was a Tatuaje Noella. Pre-Smoke: Scent of wrapper: Nothing was really unique...just tobacco Scent of foot: This was surprising. Had a sweet - candy-like aroma. Wrapper: Nice construction, med/dark brown, beautiful TRIPLE CAP, no veins, nice sheen. Feel: Felt firm with slight give. Well packed. No apparent soft spots. Tongue: Little tingle - spice Flavor on draw: Nothing really obvious, a bit grassy. Smoke Taste: Was a bit harsh at first with slight bite. Aroma was really nice. tasted very familiar. Perhaps Nicaguran tobacco. Strength: Medium Feeling: Excellent draw and burn. White ash. Heat: Cigar burned cool....even close to the end. Draw: Excellent Finish: A bit long...had some spice and coffee notes. Overall: I thought this was a very good smoke. The initial few draws had a little bite....but that was it. Surprisingly, the apparent sweetness on the foot which was quite obvious did not play a role and none was tasted. I enjoyed this cigar, the smoke experience was very nice. Excellent white ash as well. Overall Rating: 7

Pre-smoke Scent of Wrapper: Cocoa, very strong Cocoa scent Scent at Foot: Cocoa Wrapper: Dark Maduro, Oily (Note any markings, color, or inconsistencies) Feel: Well maintained, not to soft, not to firm. Tongue: Very faint cocoa taste, no where close to the scent. Flavor on Draw: The Cocoa is stronger on the draw, but the draw appears to be a little tough which is to be expected on a perfecto. Smoke Taste: (1) This cigar was a sensory overload, but in a good way. For the most part it was a sweet cigar, until the end when it became a bit bitter. Flavor Changes: At first light I was hit with a taste of leather, which disappointed me, but it quickly went away and was replaced with apple, and hint of cocoa. During the 2nd 1/3rd of the cigar, the cocoa flavor became more prevelent, and once again I got a quick hit of leather. Also with the cocoa I had some apple and cinnamon which worked well with the cocoa. The final 1/3rd a little bit of cherry was introduced before the cigar began to turn slightly bitter for me. Despite the bitterness there were hints of toast and steak. The latter, I thought I was crazy as I never experienced that taste before, but upon reviewing the ICRS I see it is a common taste. Strength: The cigar was medium to full bodied, and the strength wasn't overwhelming as the flavors were subtle enough to enjoy while not over-powering. Feeling: The cigar remained firm all the way til the final 1/3rd when it became soft and spongy. Scent of Smoke: The cigar has a sweet smell of cocoa, that a passerby even commented on. Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: The cigar remained cool, until the final 1/3rd when it became warm to the fingers, but not the mouth. Draw: At one point, I had 1/2 a cigar worth of ash on the end. The cigar at this point became a little tight, but when the ash dropped off naturally, the draw was nice. Finish: The finish remained sweet almost til the end. Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: (1) Was amazed by the oils produced on the wrapper for the duration of the smoke, truly a well constructed cigar. Final Rating: 9.1 (had it not become bitter, it would scored a 9.4 or 9.5)

Pre-smoke Scent of Wrapper: This cigar had a very prominent and distinct smell. At first, I couldn't figure out what it was, although I knew I smelled it before. So I asked my girlfriend if she could figure it out. She immediately smelled it, made a funny face, and turned away disgusted. "It smells like the elephant house at the zoo!" I nodded my head in agreement. Now don't get me wrong, to me its not a terribly bad thing, just an indication of how much this cigar smelled like hay. Scent at Foot: As the foot of this cigar was closed by the wrapper, it smelled exactly the same down there. Appearance: Churchill sized. 7" x 48 ring gauge. great looking cigar. my mouth is watering. the head cracked a little bit after cutting it with my palio, but nothing major. Wrapper: nice even reddish brown color, no splotches, or big veins. very pretty Feel: seemingly perfect construction. packed slightly hard, but theres not bumps, or soft areas Tongue: no discernible taste. slightly tingly Flavor on Draw: couldn't draw too well with the closed foot, so i picked nothing up here. Smoke Taste: This was a very tasty smoke. Started off with some tea flavors, like regular tea (earl grey?), seemed to be a bit light. Could have been that the draw was still fighting the closed foot. After the foot was burning pretty well, the flavors (and volume of smoke) seemed to pick up some more. I detected a bit of a salty flavor. Almost like cured ham. Sounds weird, but I guess I can describe it better as a meaty taste with a salt taste. I could still pick up the tea. Definitely some straw / hay taste in there, but that could be the strong scent of the wrapper throwing me off. Honestly, this is one of the most complex cigars I've smoked to date. It took some real brainstorming to figure out what exactly I was tasting. Almost overwhelming. On top of all the flavors I've listed already, there was some definite scotch type flavors...oak, pete, and some other woody flavors. Maybe even some smoky goodness(like smoked food type flavor). Flavor Changes: while this was a very complex smoke, many different flavors, it seemed to stay consistent throughout. I could always pickup these flavors throughout the whole smoke. Strength: i'd call this a medium bodied cigar honestly...that is until you hit the 2/3rds mark. Then I got a gut-punching nic buzz. Feeling: not much early, like i said, but it packed a big punch towards the end Scent of Smoke: rather pleasing, non-offensive smoke. couldn't pick up any particular smell Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: didn't smoke too hot at all. Draw: firm draw, it takes a little effort to smoke it at first. Not a whole lot of smoke to start. Later on, it opened up for me and produced a lot more flavorful smoke. Finish: not too long of a finish, except for the buzz it gave me Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: a. nice even burn until 1/2 way, then i had to fight with it to keep it lit b. light grey / white ash, firm, not flaky, fell off in 1" increments c. a little peeved that the label peeled off some of the wrapper when i took it off Final Rating: 8.8, I really enjoyed this cigar. While I don't get to enjoy Churchill sized smokes often, I'm glad this one kept my attention throughout the 2 hours it was lit. I'd recommend everyone try this. Its so flavorful that you're bound to find at least one flavor in there that you like. Definitely not a cigar to take lightly. Probably not a good herf cigar either as you really do need to sit down and focus on nothing else but the cigar and its flavors.

At first glance the Nub looks like something my grandfather would have in his mouth all day. The cigar comes in 3 variations (Nicaraguan Natural, Connecticut Natural, and Nicaraguan Cameroon) and four different sizes (ranging from 3.7" to 4"). The cigar I smoked was the Nicaraguan Cameroon 464 (4" x 64 ring), which usually is to thick of a ring gauge for me, but being it was a torpedo I had no problem with its girth. The cigar was nicely constructed with little to no oils visible on the wrapper but had a nice spongy feel to it from being properly maintained in a humidor. I was informed by the salesperson that the idea behind this cigar was that every cigar has a sweet spot and that every cigar in this line was the sweet spot. All the excess tobacco not inside the sweet spot was trimmed away and not used in any way for the cigar. A great idea if you ask me even though the size was quite funny looking. In fact until I tried it I thought the cigar was pretty much a novelty. It wasn't until I decided to write this review that I found out the cigar is made by the Oliva Family, whom I must admit I am not a huge fan of their product. But with the help of one of their sales reps named Sam Leccia who worked with Jose Oliva they realized that this was a complex and hearty smoke that they had created. And the success isn't new for Mr. Leccia who was also the part of an award winning Vodka. Due tot he size of the 464 I thought it would smoke very hot. In fact I thought it would be too hot to enjoy. But the cigar proved that one can not judge based upon looks. A rich wonderful taste enveloped my palate. The hints of cedar and a glorious coffee taste remained for the 1 hour it took to smoke this beauty. So far this is the best cigar I have smoked in 2008, and quite possibly it will fall into my top 10 of all time. Cost (At point of purchase): $4.75 Rating: 93/100

Very Nice review. This cigar is one I come back to again and again as the standard against which I judge others. The 1926 is the other. I know that there are a few cigars out there their equal but it is hard to imagine many better.

Cigar: Blind #137 Environment: About 10:30am, upper 70's, and calm. Cigar has been stored at 65-67% rh for the past several of weeks. Prelight: Appearance: Well shaped box-pressed toro with a short pigtail. Medium-to-dark brown wrapper with a very fine veins running the length of the cigar. Feel: Firm overall with no hard or soft spots. Wrapper scent: Bread/yeast dough Scent @ foot: Same as the wrapper, a touch stronger. Prep: V-cut dead center Tongue: no tingle Flavor on draw: Same bread/yeast dough. Draw was just fine. Smoke: Light: Toasted the foot evenly. Medium gray smoke. Kinda of an oaky tase initially. First third - Ash is very white and compact - dropped at about 1.25". Even burn line, with a thin, even mascara line. An adequate amount of smoke and draws well. Woody/oaky taste with a little of the breadiness I smelled/tasted pre-light. Medium bodied cigar with a medium bread finish. Great morning smoke with a cup of coffee. Second third - picked up a faint taste of what I can only describe as melon (this is a new one for me). The smoke (room smell) is not over-powering at all. A little tingle on the middle sides of the tongue. Haven't picked up on any spice/pepper. Still a goodly volume of smoke and great burn. Final third - Draw is still fine, but the smoke has become somewhat restricted. A little bite toward to front of the tongue, and the smoke is a bit hotter perhaps due to pulling on it harder to compensate for the reduced volume of smoke. Never did get hot to the touch, and finished without bitterness. I like this cigar, and plan to pick up a few more once I find out what it is. Would recommend for a medium morning smoke - or to anyone who enjoys a medium cigar. The bread/yeast taste is different for me, and yet enjoyable. Webmeister scale: 0 - Really did not like this one. 1 - Not bad, but not memorable 2 - Maybe, but I'd like to try another stick X 3 - Pretty darn good - I think I'll buy a fiver 4 - This is a keeper - gimme a box for bombing! 5 - A great stick - buying a box to keep for myself! On the "official" scale, I am going to be generous when I give this an 8 overall. 8 for construction 8 for draw, ash, and volume of smoke 8 for taste and complexity
