This mystery cigar is a short dark wrapper cigar. It had a nice maduro flavor to it and it's wrapper looked nice. Looking closer at the wrapper there is a bumpy texture. I cut the cigar and the cap remained in place. The draw is perfect.
First Third: The cigar has a nice thick smoke. I am a little surprised by the mild flavor. The burn is nice and even.
Second Third: The smoke is still nice and thick. The flavor is still mild. The ash is interesting. The bumps on the wrapper can be seen on the ash side. It's worth a look!
Third Third: I enjoyed the thick smoke. The flavor was mild all the way through.
Conclusion:
This was the first cigar I smoked in the day. I was expecting a cigar with more kick, but then again you can't judge a cigar by it's wrapper. It was a pleasant smoke and it's construction was wonderful. I would recommend this cigar to beginner cigar smokers and to those who enjoy a mild cigar.

First of a few blind cigar panels I will be reviewing. At first look you can tell this cigar is a nice strong maduro. The wrapper had a nice silky feel to it with a very textured look. You could see the veins, of the leaves used, in the wrapper. At first smell of the wrapper it had a mild amona smell to it.(Was kind of turned off by that smell but I was determined to reivew this stick today) After cutting and the intial light the cigar has a very nice draw with a medium amount of smoke.(I've seen thicker) It has a very woody flavor to it throughout the life of the smoke. The flavor didnt change much until the last 1/3 of the cigar when it became a little milder.(Not too common) I was expecting a strong full bodied maduro but this wasnt it. This was a mild maduro that a even a less seasoned smoker could enjoy.
I would smoke this cigar again if offered one. Being an avid fan of strong/maduro smokes this wasn't my cup of tea, but if I was ever in need of a milder maduro...this would be it!

Blind review. Maduro? 5x 52 robusto.
ATMOSPHERE: Smoked outside in the morning paired with a cup of medium-bodied coffee.
PRE-SMOKE:
Scent: Wrapper and foot smelled mostly earthy with a hint of cocoa.
Appearance: Veiny, chocolate brown maduro wrapper.
Feel: Packed pretty tight and a little dry. Normally would have put back in the humidor for awhile but was excited to do my first blind review!
Pre-light draw: Mostly earth/dirt taste. Not much on the tongue.
SMOKE:
Taste & Flavor: Predominately earthy flavor with hints of leather and even smaller hints of cocoa sweetness. Stayed pretty much the same throughout with maybe a slight increase in the leather and some wood. Exhaling through the nose did not add appreciably to the flavor.
Strength: Mild as maduros go. No harshness whatsoever.
Feeling: Not too much give when chewed.
Scent of smoke: I little more sweet than the taste. Reminded me of a cup of hot chocolate.
Heat: None.
Draw & Burn: Very good draw. Moderate amount of smoke (could have been a bit more). Developed a crack in the wrapper about half way through, consistent with my initial impression that it was overly dry. But this did not hurt the smoking experience. Perfectly even burn all the way down.
Finish: Short, slightly dry but not too bad.
OTHER:
Ash: Very nice white ash that held strong until I knocked it off at the 1.5” point.
Duration: Smoked until about 1” remaining in roughly 45min.
CONCLUSION: An average earthy maduro that was a little too mild for my tastes, but a good cigar nonetheless. Had qualities of some of the HdM maduros I like but much more muted. Flavors may be better with more humidor time but I doubt it would be enough to fit my tastes. I would recommend this cigar to a novice cigar smoker interested in trying their first maduro (especially if it were value priced) but do not think it would fit the taste profile of more experienced smokers that like stronger cigars.

Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: The cigar and smoke both became hot with about an inch-and-a-half left
Draw: Perfect draw. Tons of smoke
Finish: Medium dry finish with a slight medicinal taste.
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: Solid white ash that held on tight. Would have been a nice cigar for a long-ash contest.
This was a well-constructed, tasty cigar that I really wanted to give high marks, however the strange medicinal aftertaste that I was picking up interfered with my enjoyment of the cigar. Also, I was surprised that it didn’t possess the normal natural sweetness that is associated with a maduro wrapper. Still, it was a good cigar that I would try again.

Pre-light - Wrapper scent...Barnyard, leather. Very prominent, very aeromatic. Foot smell continues the barnyard, just more subtle. A very nice looking stick. a little rugged like a thick leaf wrapper...nice cap. construction is nice. So far a quality stick. The flavor of the wrapper pre light, a little less flavorful than I expected with the smells comming out of this stick. The draw is excellent. Its a little looser than perfect but darn near close. The flavors pulled from the draw are a little butter, a little tea. Nice draw flavors...so far impressive.
After Light - I get lots of leather and smoke flavors. Kind of a down and dirty stick. Lots of basic tobbaco flavors. Im thinking this is a medium body to almost a full body smoke. Nice maduro wrapper. This seems a bit more simple in the flavor profile. The burn is spectacular...nice and even and the ash is very nice. The burn cone is perfect with no runners. I get a nice buzz off of this as well. I like this smoke. The burn temp was fine through out the smoke until it got close to my lips.
The finish on this was long like a decent maduro should be. It held a nice ash and had a very good burn. I never relighted it and it head a decent amount of smoke throughout. Im putting this at about a 4-6 dollar stick. Mainly on its simplicity, but the construction may throw me off some. I would buy these.

I grabbed this stick and cut the end with my Xikar and it seemed dry, almost brittle. The prelight had a nice dark tobacco flavor. The burn and ash were pretty nice on this one. It seemed like the flavors did not change throughout the stick. It seemed to be a med/mild maduro. I am not a huge maduro wrapper lover, but I could stand to smoke this again. The wrapper split about halfway through and peeled back a lil bit. No harm done though, I kept puffin away. I noticed the leaf used for the wrapper had some veins in it and seemed to not be too uniform in texture or color. I nubbed this one at about 1 inch.

This is a robusto size cigar. The construction of the cigar was very good as was the burn. It produced a lot of smoke which I always find enjoyable in a cigar too. Lastly, the wrapper was nice and oily.
1/3:
As i lit it up, the first third was like a really rich Padron 3000 Maduro. If you like Padron's X000 line you would like this.
2/3:
The second third changed flavor to a really sweet and intense chocolate flavor.
3/3:
The last third mixed the two earlier flavors together and created a sweet chocolately and rich Padron. I would absolutely buy this again,...once i find out what it is.

I love's me maduro's and enjoyed this one, it had a familiar taste like I have had it before. It held a strong hay smell both the wrapper and foot with a hint of sweetness at the foot.
Cigar feel was firm. The wrapper had a hole where the label must have been, was created post production, did not affect the draw.
The flavors of the cigar ranged from wood, leather cocoa and ended in a slight bitter coffee aftertaste, that did not linger
.
I did enjoy it and would probably buy it to have as an everyday cigar.
I am no afficianado here, just an everyday Jim and would definitely recommend this cigar to other maduro lovers.
It was a beauty to look at, very nice construction, had the usual maduro veins along the length of cigar. The draw was a little resistant but not enough to interfere in the enjoyment of this cigar.
It was a nice, enjoyable and relaxing cigar.

When I first pulled this one out of the humidor I thought it was going to be strong in flavor and strength. The wrapper looks nice but there are a few spots on it that look like it may start to unravel if I am not careful.
This cigars prelight aroma is not very good. To me it smells like a barn full of hay. I took a prelight draw and I am starting to think my original assement of the strong flavor isnt correct.
I lit the cigar and there is a good deal of smoke. Strangely I see a crack in the foot that wasnt visible before I lit it. The crack looks pretty bad but it burned through it nicely.
The taste and strength are pretty mild although I am enjoying this cigar. It is burning perfectly and the ash is very white and tight. I dont think I will have to worry about the burn.
The ash finally falls off on its own about an inch and a half. Not much change in flavor or strength and I am down to the last 2 inches. There is some heat starting to build but the flavor hasnt changed that much.
I enjoyed this cigar. The burn was flawless for me. I had only 2 problems with the wrapper and neither had to be tended to. The cigar just burned right through the cracked foot and the wrapper at one point started to lift a little. Usually when that happens to me trouble is on the horizon but this small section that lifted eventually burned.

The Light:Took the torch very well, needed no touch ups.
The Draw:Excellent draw
First third: The 1st third hinted at a very nice ride to come, but didn't really deliver for me. I was looking for a stronger smoke, but it just wasn't there. Tasted leather right off the bat, with hints of earth and pepper in the background. Tons and tons of thick white smoke!!!!!!!
Second third: Leather still in front with the pepper standing close in the back. Starting to seem a bit one dimensional.
Final third:Leather faded and the earth and pepper took over.
Final note:Over all a nice smoke for those who prefer a mild to medium smoke. Very strong ash indicating superior construction. There was no harsh side of this cigar, it just didn't have the muscle that I look for.
Overall:If I had to make a guess, I'm sure it is a Rocky Patel cigar and I think it's the Edge Lite. Good stick for someone's first quality experience. I'd recommend it, I just wouldn't add them to my humi.

An attractive robusto with an oily, dark maduro wrapper. Prelight aroma consists of leather and strong coffee. Rich, woody flavors predominate with a bit of spiciness. The draw is good with an even burn. The flavors begin to transition a third of the way in to ground coffee and earthy flavors with a slightly bitter finish that gives way to cream notes halfway into the cigar. The creamy flavors continue to the end.
3 out of 6 smoke rings.
This cigar reminds me a lot of a CAO Brazilia.

I noticed a good quality in the constructoin of this cigar when first inspected. I had a good first impression of this cigar as well.
Pre-light - The wrapper had hints of leather with a slight musty scent, they were very hard to discerne at first. Wrapper was in good condition with no tears or blemishes. It cut very cleanly with no tearing. The pre-light draw gave me a slight leathery flavor. The draw was very good, just a slight restriction which is how I like it.
During this evaluation I again rinsed my palate with bottled water to not confuse the flavors.
After light- This cigar lit very easily and took the flame well. The foot lit consistently across the entire face. The cigar produced a very good amount of smoke which continued throughout the cigar. The first draw had a very nice leather, wood flavor but the tastes were very light and were almost missed at first. Very smooth texture to the smoke.
The cigar was very pleasant with not much flavor change from the first third to the second third. One has to be careful with this cigar it was very prone to over heat but worked well with 1 minute plus between draws. Although the flavors were still there the overall strength of this cigar is a little milder than my normal preference.
From the second third to the last third the cigars flavors started to strengthen a little. I noted the leathery flavor strengthen in the last third but that is pretty much the only thing I tasted.
Overall the cigar was OK, it is much too mild for my taste and too one dimensional.
Finally I would say I would not buy this cigar. I selected that I would not recommend this cigar, this may change with other examples of the cigar. With that said I must be fair and state that I have never made a buy or no buy decision with just one sample of a cigar. I will give this cigar another try someday if the opportunity presents itself. I will never condemn a cigar with just one smoking.

At first glance, this cigar reminded me of an AF LaUnica Maddie without the slight boxpress. I smoked this in the a.m. with coffee. Pre-light draw was flavorful and I felt it would smoke like a LaUnica (LU). It cut and lit effortlessly and perfectly. It continued to burn flawlessly to the nub and delivered plenty of smoke.
The first 1/3 delivered a woody/earthy flavor with a slight molasses bittersweet flavor and brought me back to the LU similarity, which is a favorite everyday smoke of mine. I dropped the grey/white ash at about an
inch. The bitter side of molasses became slightly more pronounced but nothing that was annoying.
The second 1/3 continued with the woody/earthy flavor while the bitterness backed off a bit. Just a hint of leather crept in there.
The final 1/3 was a ditto of the second 1/3.
This cigar never burned hot to me and was a most pleasant, consistent morning smoke. I would say it is a medium flavor, medium body cigar and would recommend this cigar as a $3-$4 tasty stick. While I am writing this review, the flavors are still present on my palette.

SMOKE:
Taste & Flavor: Light earthy flavor. Light smoke from the first half, much better second half. Consistent throughout with maybe a slight increase in the taste.
Strength: Very mild for a maduros. No harsh taste whatsoever.
Feeling: Very light and airy.
Scent of smoke: Leather, yeah diffinately leather.
Heat: Very little.
Draw & Burn: Solid throughout, but more smoke second half. No cracks in the wrapper. Perfect even burn all the way down - amazing!
Finish: Short, a little dry.
OTHER:
Ash: Nearly perfect burn and ash. Almost completely white that held right until I knocked it off at the 2.5” point!
Duration: Smoked until about 1” remaining in roughly 1 hour (I smoke slowly).
CONCLUSION: A below average earthy maduro that was way little too mild for me, but a good cigar nonetheless. I would recommend this cigar to a virgin maduro smoker, but the price better be low. Vetern maduros lovers would find this one light on flavor.
FINAL RATING: 6.0 - needed more flavor
