Pros: Awesome burn and good flavors
Cons: construction was good but wrapper was not

I did forget to measure this stick before I went out and smoked it. I believe it was about a 5 X 50 and it had a double cap with what looked like a natural wrapper. It was smooth and dry with no oilyness. There were a few veins showing on the wrapper, there was also a color variation in the leaf used to wrap it. Overall the construction was good. There were a few soft spots. The initial smell of the wrapper gave off some dried leaves and some spicyness, almost peppery. The same thing at the foot but with what smelled like dried hay.

I choose to cut it with a double guillotine and the tobacco seemed smooth and of a long filler. I drew from this and seemed to get alot of initial spice with some of the hay I smelled earlier. I got a lil bit of a tingle on my tongue and lips. I then lit this bad boy up and got some earthyness with a leathery and toasted wood flavor. It was good, but seemed to have some bitterness to it. This seemed to be a medium bodied stick. The ash was perfect and tight. It burned like a champ. No burn issues at all throughout. At about the 2/3 mark I started to get what I can only describe as a toasted peanut shell flavor mixed with the leather and spice. It was not bad because I love peanuts. At one period I concentrated on the aroma of the smoke and I got a few mixed smells. One was of a swimming pool, and the other of clove. This stick never seemed to get overheated untill about the last 2 inches. The draw was a lil hard untill i hit the halfway mark. The flavors did continue throughout the last half and got a lil more spicy towards the nub. This could have been one of the best burning cigars I have ever smoked. Flawless!
If I rate this cigar using the ICRS system I would rate it at a 7.75.

Pros: pretty good construction
Cons: lack of flavor, loose draw

Blind Tasting Panel #109
5x52” robusto
Natural wrapper?

ATMOSPHERE: Smoked on a warm Arizona morning paired with iced tea and ABB on my iPod.

PRE-SMOKE:
Scent: Mild sweet cocoa from wrapper, a hint of paprika too. Rich and sweet from foot…hard to identify, like lavender I think.

Appearance: Light brown (similar to a Connecticut shade) brown wrapper. Very light tobacco color in foot. This is definitely going to be a mild one. Double cap.

Feel: A little soft but not too bad. No tingle from the tongue.

Pre-light draw: Woody, a hint of pepper maybe, and a little sour.

SMOKE:
Taste & Flavor: Creamy, mild leather taste with a little bit of sourness at first. Sourness went away after the first inch. Not much extra flavor when expelled through the nose. No noticeable changes otherwise. Pretty flat in the flavor department overall.

Strength: Mild.

Feeling: Good cigar to chew.

Scent of smoke: Not very strong at all…what there was smelled like burning oak.

Heat: None.

Draw & Burn: Very easy draw, a little too loose for my tastes. Pretty even burn. Tons of creamy white smoke even when not drawing.

Finish: Very short and dry. Mild smoky, leather flavor.

OTHER:
Ash: Flaky grey ash but held OK.

Duration: Smoked about 2/3 of stick in 40 minutes. Wasn’t interesting enough to continue.

CONCLUSION: This was nothing majorly wrong with this cigar it was just too mild and lacking flavor excitement for my tastes. Reminded me of a Macanudo in this regard. The draw was a bit too loose for my preference as well. The construction was good overall. I would not really recommend this to smokers that like mild sticks (even if it were value priced) because there are a lot of better mild cigars out there.

FINAL RATING: 5.3/10

Cheers!

Pros: Good draw.
Cons:

This was a natural wrapper cigar. The wrapper had a sweet tobacco flavor and th foor had an earthy smell.

I cut the cigar and the cap cut off cleanly and the drwa was good.

First Third: What a nice sweet taste and it's strength I would put at mild/medium.

Second Third: The sweet smell has gone and it has left was a nice tobacco flavor. Very nice.

Third Third: Same as the second third.

Overall: This would make an excellent morning smoke. I was happy with the smell and flavor.

Pros: Beautiful cigar, great burn
Cons: Lack of complexity

Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Coffee, nuts
Scent at Foot: Rich tobacco, earth
Wrapper: Beautiful silky wrapper, neat triple-cap
Feel: Slightly spongy at foot, otherwise fairly solid
Tongue: Some spice
Flavor on Draw: Toasted nuts

Smoke
Taste: Toast, clover
Flavor Changes: Nothing major to speak of
Strength: Mild
Scent of Smoke: Light grassy aroma
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
Draw: Just a hint of resistance
Finish: Mild and short
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: Excellent burn

This was one of those cigars that is almost too pretty to burn. Still, in the interest of science, I fire it up. The grassy, clover-like flavor that I picked up on reminded me of being in a field of fresh-cut hay. The burn was razor sharp and I never noticed any heat or bitterness the entire length of the smoke.

This is a mild cigar without a lot of complexity, so it isn’t something that I would smoke on a regular basis. However, just because it doesn’t fit my personal tastes doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a very good cigar.

Final Rating: 7

Pros: Solid cigar, good flavor
Cons: Needed more flavor to be great

Blind review. Natural 5x 52 robusto.

ATMOSPHERE: Smoked outside in the evening paired with fresh Alabama air.

PRE-SMOKE:
Scent: Light smell of earthy.

Appearance: One large vein on the side, light chocolate brown wrapper.

Feel: Nice cigar. The filler looked good.

Pre-light draw: Very little of anything.

SMOKE:
Taste & Flavor: Good flavor, light hint of leather and spice. Not a ton or overhelming, but nice none the same.

Strength: Very mild. No harsh taste whatsoever. I really would have loved more of that taste!

Feeling: Just right.

Scent of smoke: Leather and spice, small on the spice part though.

Heat: Very little until the end, then it got hot.

Draw & Burn: Very solid burn. Very good draw, probably the best part of the cigar.

Finish: Even.

OTHER:
Ash: Solid ash, nice nearly white color.

Duration: Smoked until about .5” remaining in roughly 1 hour 15 minutes.

CONCLUSION: A very nice robusto. I really wanted more of the flavor, but that is just me, others might find this the perfect cigar. Construction and quality seemed to be excellent overal.

FINAL RATING: 7.0 - Good cigar, needed more flavor for me, but still good

Pros: Good flavors
Cons: poor construction

Pre smoke-a little scent of dirty feet
The wrapper was a clean natural wrapper with a crack at the foot.
Feel was firm.

Slightly peppery to taste at the startwith a consistant mild to medium smoke throughout.

The ash was very pretty but the wrapper unraveled as I smoked. That was a shame because I like the flavors. I would give this one another try.

Pros: Unique Flavor Profile
Cons: Construction

This Robusto was smoked while I was at work. Prelight thought were noted with visual defects. The wrapper was not over-lain and caused a large amount of smoke to escape. The draw was smooth and had a very rich tobacco flavor.

The first third was a bit harsh but had nice flavor and except for the wrapper problem was not bad.

The second third picked up a bit more flavor. The wrapper at this point busted open and rendered the cigar almost un-smokable.

Final third. Due to construction issues,I couldn't finish this cigar.

I feel with a higher quality wrapper and better quality assurance this could have been a fine smoke!

Pros: Even Burn, Solid Ash..Good Construction
Cons: Tad more on flavor Dept needed.

Silky smooth oily Khaki colored wrapper.
Soft spot about 1/2" long by foot. Well applied cap.
Wrapper scent of leather/cedar.
Pre-draw was earth & spice.
1st puffs were hay & spice which as the cigar progressed became notes of nuttiness and some cream.
The finish was dry blend of leather & some pepper.
Perfect burn and solid ash which produced ample smoke through the perfect draw.
The final 2 inches I had heat problems even after purging I let the stick go out.

Pros: Great construction, pleasant flavor
Cons: more complexity bould be welcome, wrapper could be better looking

Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: earthy and woodsy
Scent at Foot: musty spices
Wrapper: natural color, could be better looking, double or triple cap
Feel: a bit too soft when squuezed
Tongue: a bit acidic
Flavor on Draw: not too much

Smoke
Taste: spice, creamy notes, peppery
Flavor Changes: not enough complexity; spices mixed with creamy flavors
Strength: medium
Scent of Smoke: lots of smoke, plesant aroma
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: some heat on the lips and fingers towards the end
Draw: perfect
Finish: mostly spicy finish, could be a bit
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: This cigar had a great burn, great construction, white ash held on nicelly

Overall a very nice cigar. Pleasant flavor profile and great conctruction. I gave it a solid 7; if the wrapper would look better and a bit more complexity would be added I would def give it a 9.

Pros: Great draw, aromatic in the room, lots of smoke, Great mid-day smoke.
Cons: The dry character is a little overwhelming. After a puff or two you are dying for a Big Gulp.

PRESMOKE

Scent of Wrapper: Very aromatic. Grassy aroma, sweet smell.

Scent at Foot: Similar to wrapper, but more faint.

Appearance: Corona shape, 5 inches x 52 ring.

Wrapper: Medium smooth, not toothy, small veins. Very consistent wrapper color - med. brown. Some anomaly in the wrapper leaf - a wrinkle perhaps. Slight sheen.

Feel: Consistent from head to foot, but not very tightly wrapped. Somewhat spongy.

Tongue: No tingle. Mildly sweet taste.

Flavor on Draw: Light molasses flavor. Hints of sweetness.

SMOKE

Lit up quickly. Very easy draw, Almost ideal. Noticed a bit of spice when it lit up, reminds me a little bit of Cameroon spice.

1st Third:

Smoke has a very dry cedar-like character to it. Not nearly as sweet as it smelled. Fantastic draw, and a large satisfying quantity of smoke. I am enjoying rolling this cigar. Absolutely drove me to go pour a glass of Kool-Aid to sip with this cigar - it has a real dryness to it that I don't run across often. I would pair this cigar with something sweet to offset the dryness. Creates a pleasant aromatic scent in the room.

Strength: The flavor is a solid medium.

The feeling (or nicotine strength) is also medium. I think I can tell it has some nicotine strength.

Scent of the Smoke: Very pleasant and aromatic, not heavy. Smells like cedar. I think most people would say it smells good.

Heat on fingers and mouth: Nothing observed.

Draw: Excellent draw. Just the right amount of resistance. Perfect!

Finish: Short and crisp finish. A little bit of spice. Finish does not linger very long. Dry and woody finish.

Other: Consistent, even burn line. Wrapper is holding up well - not wanting to unravel. Produces wonderful clouds of smoke easily. Short finish. Leaves you wanting another puff right away. It tastes like it should be nicotine strong, but I am getting only very slight nicotine effects. I think this would be a great mid-day lunch time smoke. It is something you could walk around with. I like this cigar, but I would definitely want a large Big Gulp of pop or Kool-Aid to go with it. The dryness is a little too much.

I would rate the construction an 7.5 and the flavor a 7.5. This is a very good cigar. It would rate higher on flavor if it just wasn't quite so dry. It reminds me of a Nicaraguan cigar, kind of like a Pepin Garcia.

Pros:
Cons: Little Dry

Natural wrapper, with a dry finish. Initial light was perfect. Had a more mild/medium taste to it. I will attribute my slight cold to the lack of flavors I encountered. After about 15-20 min I could start tasting this thing! I had no burn problems until the last 1/3 of the cigar at which time it started to get a little hot for my taste. One thing to note, I did find a stem at the end after the initial cut. Removed with no problems.

Nothing special about the flavor but it was a nice tasting smoke. 6 on the flavor and 7 on the construction.

Pros: Easy draw, good for a mild cigar
Cons: Lacked depth

Scent of Wrapper: sweet hay smell

Scent at Foot: very, very faint smell of hay

Appearance: a little rough with a couple of smaller veins along the length

Wrapper: small veins along the length . slight change in wrapper color at the foot - med. brown.

Feel: very spongy, not tightly rolled

Tongue: Mildly sweet taste.

Flavor on Draw: sweet grass taste

Smoke:

A very pleasant aroma to the smoke, did not give off a lot of smoke from the cigar itself but blew out a large amount... enjoyable smell to the smoke... reminded me of bbq-ing meat.

The cigar had no depth though no unpleasant it pretty much carried one consistant flavor throughout... I would rate it more as a morning cigar and would smoke it again but would not go out of my way to purchase it unless it was an inexpensive cigar.

Strength: Maybe it was me but I consider this more of a mild smoke

The feeling though light and mild it was a pleasant smoke made for morning with a cup of strong coffee.

Scent of the Smoke: Very very pleasant smell, had a cedary smell to it but also reminded me of the smell of bbq-ing eat...

Heat on fingers and mouth: none

Draw: Very easy draw

Finish: Very little if any, no aftertaste to it...

Pros: Had a very nutty and woody flavors
Cons: Very delicate wrapper

Ok so here we go I opened up this cigar and took a good long whiff. I got the aromas of my Grandfathers wood shop. I thought that this cigar had a fresh cut wood smell. I then cut the end and took a taste and I knew that this would be a nice cigar to smoke. It was a medium light to medium cigar in my opinion. After lighting the cigar I got the hints of some very nutty and woodsy flavors. The cigar burned very well and it did not make me feel quesy at all. The only draw back on this cigar was the wrapper, it was very delicate. I think it is a cameroon wrapper but I am not sure.

This is a cigar I would put in my humidor and would recomend for manufacutre and distributition. My many thanks to the manufacuture of this cigar it is very very good.

Pros: Perfect Burn and bountiful smoke
Cons: Developed a small tear

Pre-Smoke

Scent of Wrapper: I seem to be stuck on the Hay scent for the wrapper but that is what I smell.
Scent at Foot: Exactly the same as the wrapper.
Wrapper: Light brown, small veins, slight sheen.
Feel: Some give when squeezed.
Tongue: Slight tingle on the tongue.
Flavor on Draw: I would say a "Green" taste. Something very similar to fresh hay or earthy flavor.

Smoke

Taste: A slight bit of pepper but with a very earthy taste.
Strength: Mild to medium
Feeling: Very easy to smoke... I like to call it a no-brainer. It didn't take any concentration or focus on the cigar to enjoy it.
Smoke: Very nice amount of smoke - this would be something to light up when around non-cigar folks.
Heat: Started to pick up some heat as it approached the 1.5" left.
Draw: Nice and easy.
Finish: Dry and short.
Other: Perfect draw with a nice white ash. It did develop a tear at about the 2" left area when approaching that during the smoking.

Overall this is a fairly mild cigar that does not present a lot of flavors or tastes. I enjoy a no-brainer every now and then and this would be one of those! I would rate it at a 7 on the ICRS Scale.

Pros:
Cons:

Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: clear wood scent with some standard hay (i always smell hay as well g8tr )

Scent at Foot: same^^

Wrapper: many small veins, medium brown in color, looks quite nicely constructed

Feel: quite soft when squeezed (i like this)

Tongue: gives a bit of a spicy tingle and followed with a standard tobacco flavor

Flavor on Draw: basic tobacco to me

Smoke
Taste: started off overly spicy (probly scorched on light) but then mellowed into a very creamy earthy taste

Flavor Changes: only flavor change was after it got passed the scorched area which was maybe 10 puffs in

Strength: mild-medium

Scent of Smoke: i was in a screened porch so i could actually smell the smoke this time, it seemed like pretty much a normal tobacco smoke smell but it seemed to linger longer than most clouds of smoke usually do... probly because i had been
