I wanted my first review to almost write itself and this cigar did just that.
I took the cigar out of the humidor and rolled it around to check for flaws, but i was amazed at the beauty of this box pressed wonder. It was very firm with just a slight give to pressure. I like to taste the cap before I clip it and got just a hint of earthiness. After I cut it I tested the draw and knew that i was in for a real treat. The light produced thick rich smoke with unbelievable smoothness. The first inch seemed very powerful with hints of leather and earth that seems to accompany most padrons. I have a tendency to puff puff draw and then roll the smoke which added some spiceyness (word?) and subtle tastes of cashews. At the halfway point the cigar smoothed out even more and i settled into a more relaxed pace. I did not have to purge this cigar once and the burn was impecable. During the last third the spice increased and the smoke became more full bodied. The grey ash held forever and i had to tap it to remove the band. needless to say I nubbed this and was left with a tangy finish on the end of my tounge and lips that was very pleasing. I think my taste buds had goose bumps.
