Description: Handmade in Esteli, Nicaragua at one of the world’s premier cigar factories. Primer Mundo’s cigars are specially blended and hand rolled by the Nestor Plasencia family and contains the finest tobacco available from the Plasencia’s farms in Nicaragua and Honduras. I believe there are three sticks available. A Crillo Maduro wrapper (Robusto & Toro), a Connecticut Shade (Robusto & Toro), and an Oscuro Rosado. The current projected production, according to the owner of the company, is only 20,000 total cigars.

Pros: Draw, Taste, Burn
Cons: Limited Availability

Oscuro Rosado

Prelight.
Sweet; Spicy; Wrapper: well constructed; Good Draw.

Smoke.
Taste.
Cherry; Smooth; Nutty. The front end of the cigar is sweet and spicy. I began to notice the taste of Honey Nut Cheerios about 1/3 of the way into the stick. The taste then developed some distinct cherry notes 1/2 way into it. Those cherry notes became more prevalent toward the finish. The honey and wheat notes tapered off at the finish. The spice was distinct and pleasant throughout.

Strength.
Medium Bodied. Full Flavor.

Feeling.
Good feelings. I smoked this after a San Cristobal (disappointed with the finish on the Cristobal). This was a nice follow up, as the cigar did not go flat. The flavors develop well in this Rosado.

Scent.
Sweet, Cherry, Rounded.

Draw.
Excellent.

Finish.
The finish built well as the honey wheat notes gave way to a rounded creaminess of deep floral and cherry notes balanced with a generous amount of spice.

Overall Impression.
Very good stick that I will most certainly smoke again.

Overall an 8.8.
