Description: Don Lino Cigars use only the finest tobacco from the valley of Cibao in the Dominican Republic. All tobacco is aged for 2 years to ensure desired level of smoothness, richness and complexity. Using a grade "A" Aged Connecticut wrapper has resulted in an extremely smooth, flavorful cigar. Cigars are aged in a cedar room for 3 months to harmonize flavors.

Pros: Nice, good tasting, mild cigar. Excellent for those new to cigars.
Cons: Too mild for my taste. Flavor profile changed drastically at the band.

Pre-smoke

Scent of Wrapper: cedar. Smells like the humi.

Scent at Foot: nice tobacco aroma. Nothing special comes to mind.

Appearance

Wrapper: Clean Connecticut wrapper. Hardly any veins. The foot of the wrapper was split probably due to humidity changes.

Feel: Very nicely rolled. Good fill throughout the cigar. No soft spots or plugs.

Tongue: Not a lot of flavor on the tongue. Very mild Connecticut wrapper.

Flavor on Draw: Nothing special on the draw.

Smoke

Taste: Mostly straw and grass for the first half of the smoke. Flavor profile changed to that of leather and then the build up of tar changed it at the band. Had to put it out at that time.

Flavor Changes: See above.

Strength: Mild flavor throughout the smoke.

Feeling: N/A

Scent of Smoke: Hay and straw

Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: This smoke never got hot until the band.

Draw: Very good draw throughout the cigar. Lasted about an hour.

Finish: Nice finish left on the palate. Didn’t last that long though.

Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: A very smooth smoke,

Final Rating: I rate this 6 – Good quality mild smoke.
