It was a cool evening... a gentle breeze in the air with a slight hint of mesquite from a grill off in the distance. A dog barks somewhere, and my tongue is tingling my friends.. tingling for a Ligero... "a Ligero?" you say.. but i say nay, A Triple Ligero... There has been a pause in my soul for a week or so now, a pause of uncertainty, the kind of uncertainty any smoker has when he has been given a personal quest to smoke the unknown.. Yesterday was that day my friends and I had a cigar in my coolidor that I had been holding off, because it was just an unknown to me, something I would pick over for a Serie 'A' any day... but I thought It was high time..
So I brew a special blend of coffee, and put it in my special mug and go outside:
okay so The Cigar is a
Mombacho Thermonuclear Triple Ligero Serie 2006 from Tabacalera Tropical
Wrapper : Smooth with a tad tooth, small vein.
Smell: This was the only cigar that when i took it out of the cello, its aroma shot straight to my nose with a distance from my lap to my head.
Aroma when Lit: Woodsy with a hint of Mexican dirt.

Okay so the initial light on the stick was different, it was a very complex start and a little harsh, but a tad further on, like in 5 minutes, it really started to calm down and mellow out into a hazelnut leather, with woodsy notes.. the coffee really helped accentuate these notes i picked up.
It had a great even burn, and the ash never turned smokers teeth yellow, it maintained a white and pepper throughout the stick as you see.

About midway through the cigar, the notes changed, it now held a super subtle wet dirt and wood but in a good way? and maintained that until the finish.

The finish started to get really strong, I mean not like a J. Fuego finish, but for comparison to the start of this cigar, it was like a nice change. it kind of recirculated back to the initial taste but stronger.

In Retrospect

This cigar wasn't all that bad, although some of the notes I picked up might not seem pleasurable, it was a nice little cigar, and relaxed me. Some of the notes are so subtle you really wouldn't mind them, and the ones that were more pleasurable were the most prominent. I'd totally get another one of these.
