The pre smoke sent of the wrapper was a little woody. It had a nice tobacco scent. The construction was flawless even after being stored for 3 years. The wrapper was smooth and darkened from age. The feel was firm and yielded to slight pressure with no soft spots.
The first few draws brought a feeling of contentment, and relaxiation immediately set in with the toasty wood flavor. Smoothness was the game plan and i hoped that each leaf would stick to it. I try to savor each puff and was reluctant to exhale because i knew each draw was going to shorten this experience. I rolled the smoke every so often and was rewarded with the classic cameroon flavor that permeated my immediate surroundings. This cigar continued to develop all the way through throwing in subtle spicyness now and then. Although i wouldn't consider this cigar a highly complex smoke I would say that the wood and leather nuances got mellower and richer to varing degrees throuhout the smoking experience which lasted for a good 110 to 120 cool minutes.
I would highly recommend this cigar to any smoker, new or experienced.
