Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Nothing much noted
Sent at Foot: A very nice spicy earth smell
Wrapper: Dark vein filled wrapper
Feel: Squishy
Tongue: Nothing noted.
Flavor on Draw: Hay with maybe a peppermint, with a very open draw
Smoke
Taste: A very pleasant smoked cedar flavor jumped out upon lighting this cigar. There was some very nice subtle spice here, but it really popped out when rolling this cigar through the nose. The cedar flavor with a really pleasant smoked wood aroma and flavor was present throughout this cigar. This was very complex as at times I could almost taste some citrus. The thing that stood out while smoking this cigar was how peppery this cigar was when retro haling.
Strength: I The flavors here were Medium to full with the Nic strength in the Medium range.
Sent of smoke: I was outside, and there was a breeze making this hard.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: none noted.
Draw: great Draw.
Finish: Sort of a peppery citrus finish. There was a subtle apricot flavor.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: The most incredible thing about this cigar was the construction. The ash held on for 3.5 inches, and there were only one time the ash fell for the while cigar. This cigar had no burn issues and was truly a joy to smoke. For that reason, I am giving this cigar an 8.5 or Excellent rating!

Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Slight hint of toasted almonds
Sent at Foot: A woodsy, earthy smell that is quite pleasant
Wrapper: Darker than natural, but not near maduro. One decent vein, but nothing too dramatic
Feel: Somewhat firm, but near perfect
Tongue: At first nothing, but a little leathery aftertaste
Flavor on Draw: Slight hint of fruit, but nothing overwhelming
Taste: The smoked almonds and leathery flavors were quite well received. I also got the fruity/citrusy tastes I was expecting after the pre-light draw. The cigar had a nice, creamy flavor that was quite enticing and made for a flavor explosion. Each draw was better than the previous.
Strength: I'd be willing to bet that this is Nic. tobaccy and started as a great medium strength smoke and continued throughout the entire smoke. It didn't build to a full flavor smoke, but it didn't have to.
Scent of smoke: I loved the scent of this cigar. Quite woodsy and nutty. I filled my garage with smoke and wasn't disappointed in the aromas.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None at all.
Draw: The draw was perfect, as was the burn. No touch-ups needed.
Finish: The finish was great. The woody/spice flavors were excellent. The hint of fruit/citrus was wonderful and added to the creamy tastes.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: This cigar was amazing. I'm excited about the second one sitting in my humidor. The aroma from the smoke was great, the after-taste was wonderful, and the flavors were perfect. I nubbed this bad boy because it kept burning perfectly. I would easily recommend this cigar to anyone/everyone who enjoys a great, medium smoke. It took me nearly an hour to enjoy this and the experience was even better because I got to smoke it while relaxing with the garage door open and a nice Ayinger Hefeweizen...actually, two Ayingers

Smooth flavors. Just a good relaxing smoke
|
|
Cons:
|
none I could find
|
|
Wrapper Scent: sweet
Scent at Foot: chocolate
Wrapper notes: dark, well constructed (few spots no big deal)
Feel: firm
Taste: dark rich taste. I want to say leathery, but I'm not sure. There was some spice, but it didn't come out until later in the smoke.
Scent of Smoke: grassy/ good amt smoke.med grey ash
Draw: firm but good
Overall: Good medium smooth smoke. Burn was excellent and was a really enjoyable smoke. This would definitely be a good one to enjoy with some coffee.

Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Nutty.
Sent at Foot: .Dirt earth type smell.
Wrapper: Looked like a Nic./ Nice.
Feel: Gave a little doing the pinch test.
Tongue: I could not really tell.
Flavor on Draw: Taste of straw.
Smoke
Taste: This is a very nice tasting smoke, taste of cedar, spices and earth. At first light the flavors “all” were trying to confuse my senses and notes of the cedar really hit heavy then came the combo of cedar & Spice. After I smoked about half the flavor of pepper started hitting my nostrils—made me sneeze.
Strength: Med. -- Full.
Sent of smoke: It was nice enough to take this outside and really could not tell.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None on figures and very little in mouth at the end.
Draw: Very nice draw.
Finish: Full peppery finish with some hints of cedar.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: This is a very nice smoke that that I would enjoy once a week—The make up of this cigar was very well planned and put together. Nice binder and filler that held the ash together in the wind pretty good. The draw, burn and taste was very nice.

Pros:
|
really good flavor and a pleasent smoke
|
|
Cons:
|
hard draw
|
|
Scent of wrapper: There were some sweet notes as well as pepper and a trace of bitter cocoa
Scent at foot: There was more spiciness as well as some smoky tobacco flavors
Wrapper: The wrapper was well done with very low veining
Feel: The feel was very full to hard in some places that would raise issues later in the draw
Tongue: Spiciness with some bitter woody and hay notes
Flavor on draw: There was a very good solid tobacco flavor with some cocoa and pepper again
The smoke: The cigar had some great solid flavors at the beginning. There was some spiciness that was not overpowering and enjoyable. The flavors were mainly cedary with a touch of vanilla with a medium amount of smoke. There was a nice crisp finish that accompanied the spice and was crisp and enjoyable. The second third added some nice leather flavor to the mix and the spice mellowed out some but was still noticeable in the back of the throat and nose. The finish became a little longer and was fuller as it coated the mouth. The last third didn’t change much except adding a little more strength as the smoke reached the nub. The profile had cedar leather and sweet spices
The feeling: The smoke was a nice medium bodied spicy smoke that had a pleasant finish and some richness.
Scent of smoke: There was a typical medium, sweet smoke in the air
Draw: This is the biggest flaw in this smoke. The draw was very tight and did not really improve at all. I tried to take an extra half inch off of the end in order to improve the draw, but this did not help anything. I think that the volume and flavors of the smoke would have been much better had the draw been complete. I noticed this in both cigars.
Finish: The finish was nice and clean with some residual spiciness that would linger
Ash and burn: This part of the cigar was very nice with the ash regularly lasting an inch and the burn stayed remarkably even considering I smoked this outside on a breezy evening.
Overall: This was a good solid cigar that I did enjoy. If the draw was better I would have given this cigar much better ratings, but the flavors were good and I really enjoyed the spiciness in that it was not overpowering and complemented the sweetness well.

Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: A sweet leather scent
Scent at Foot: The scent was much stronger at the foot. I guess the best way to describe it is earthy, but pleasant.
Wrapper: Dark brown. Smooth texture almost like leather, with a few smaller veins.
Feel: Firm with a little give. Not spongy. Seems well packed.
Tongue: A bit of tingle when touched to tong. A very faint taste.
Flavor on Draw: Nothing strong, maybe hay or grass
Smoke
Taste: Started off with an earthy flavor with a lot or pepper. About an inch into it the pepper died down and the earthiness was still present but had hints of leather. A little more creaminess showed up towards the middle and beyond, but it was still a more full body smoke. You could feel it at the back of your throat throughout.
Strength: Medium to Full
Scent of Smoke:Was much to windy to tell.
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: A bit warm on fingers at time. The draw was a bit firm at first and i believe it burned a little hot, but it corrected itself.
Draw: A bit tight at first, but corrected nicely.
Finish: A bit of lingering pepper.
Ash: Fairly firm ash. Was darker in color, kinda salt and pepper.
Other notes: A more fuller body smoke. Very enjoyable flavors. Burn was off at times, but that could have been the wind. Draw was a bit tight but wasnt all that bad. The flavors made this a good cigar. I would smoke this one again!

Construction Issues

Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Sweet tobacco
Scent at Foot: Sweet tobacco, but stronger than scent of wrapper
Appearance: Very attractive smoke!
Wrapper: Medium dark oily wrapper with some nice veins
Feel: firm with some give; well-packed
Tongue: nothing notable
Flavor on Draw: more sweet tobacco
Smoke
Taste: I had a tough time pinpointing flavors on this one. I guys I would agree with a spicy, earthy leather. At the midway point it turned really creamy.
Strength: Medium full
Feeling: This cigar left me confused with mixed emotions.
Scent of Smoke: sweet tobacco
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: none noted
Draw: good, but had trouble keeping one of the samples lit. Very annoying.
Finish: long, creamy yet peppery
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I had trouble keeping one of the samples lit. The other had a plasic string coming out of it, which appeared when I clipped the head. I pulled it out. It was about two inches long. The whole time, I was wondering to myself if I was smoking plastic. Not fun. This is a beautiful cigar that I would be automatically drawn to at a B&M. I wanted to like it, but the construction issues kind of ruined it for me and the flavor profile was not for me. Assuming my issues were anamolies, I could see this cigar being a success.

Wrapper: medium brown, felt oily, minor missing piece of tobacco missing
Feel: very firm
Tongue: nothing picked up
Flavor on Draw: nothing picked up
SMOKE
Taste: Beginning did not have much too it, near the middle and end got more spice, buttery and creamy
Strenght: medium
Feeling: none
Scent of Smoke: did not pick anything up
Heat on fingers/mouth: next to none, burned good, but did not produce a lot of heat, very nice
Draw: PERFECT
