Great flavors, great burn Great ash

|
Cons:

fragile wrapper

Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Leather and Spice
Sent at Foot: Peppery Earth smell, it actually made me sneeze!
Wrapper: Nice medium brown wrapper with some small veins. (***NOTE*** There was a large section of wrapper missing where the band was removed.
Feel: Firm, but not hard
Tongue: Nothing noted.
Flavor on Draw: Earthy hay
Smoke
Taste: This was a wonderful cigar with peppery spice right off the bat. The cigar had a very full flavor profile that I really enjoy. A spicy wood flavor was present throughout the cigar. The flavors continued to evolve and mold together as the cigar continued to burn.
Strength: I The flavors here were full with the Nic strength in the Medium range.
Sent of smoke: I was outside, but I could really pick up a nice spice and woody smell in the air.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: none noted.
Draw: great Draw not open, but not closed, that perfect draw you get and really appreciate.
Finish: There was a nice peppery leather finish on this cigar, as I continued to smoke, there was a slight mushroom flavor that added to this great smoke.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: Even with the wrapper issues from the band removal (prior to my receiving, both had this fault and I smoked the one with less of an issue) the burn was straight as an arrow. The ash was a white ash that was smooth and firm. The ash hung on for about an inch and a half. I really enjoyed this cigar. It reminded me of the Oliva V as far as flavors go, but the wrapper was not as perfect as the V. All in all this was a GREAT cigar and deserves a 9 or Nearly Perfect rating in my book. LETS get these reviews done, so I can find out what this is and go buy out my B&M!!!!

Pros:
|
great flavor profile with lots of changes
|
|
Cons:
|
bitterness and harshness at beginning and when hot
|
|
PRE-SMOKE
Scent of Wrapper: There was a nice sweet green grass and pepper smell
Appearance: The cigar had a nice light oil and was a medium dark
Wrapper: It was constructed well with very little veins and a very tight crisp make
Feel: There were no problem spots and the cigar was firmly packed
Tongue: There was not much of any taste except a very slight spicy sweetness
Pre-light Flavor on Draw: There were some grassy or hay notes and a little spice but for the most part nothing
SMOKE
The first third of the cigar was medium full and quite pungent. There were some bitter and harsh flavors involved with getting it started that came easily when it got overheated. The flavor profile was mostly a dry grass with a little bit of spice. In the second third the bitterness died away even more which was very nice. There were now some really pleasant leather and oak qualities to the smoke. In the last third there were lots of floral and woody notes that was really intriguing. It was hard to pin down specifics, but I would try to describe them as rhubarb, oak, and alcohol type flavors.
Scent of the Smoke: It was pleasant and fruity/floral
Heat on fingers and mouth: not much
Draw: a little tight
Ash: The ash didn’t really hold for more than a half inch or so but was a nice salt and pepper
Finish: The finish at first was bitter and dry but was nice as the cigar progressed and ended
Overall: I really enjoyed this cigar most towards the end when all of the flavors were coming together. I am sure that aging would mellow out the beginning flavors. I really liked the surprise changes in the length of the smoke. This was a very nice and surprising smoke

Pros:
|
Nice constructinon, even burn, consistent flavors
|
|
Cons:
|
Not my personal taste preference
|
|
Wrapper appearance: toothy, dark. no blemishes or problems Medium vein
Wrapper Scent: earthy
Feel: soft in spots- it didn't affect smoke
Pre Draw Flavor: sweet
Taste: woody, some spice.
Smoke: lots of smoke although a little pungent
Strength: medium
Draw: very good
Althought this one is not my personal flavor preference at the time, I enjoyed the smoke. It kept the same consistent woody flavor throughout the cigar. Draw and burn were excellent. Didn't get hot until the very end.

Pros:
|
Flawless construction, great draw, nearly perfect
|
|
Cons:
|
Nothing at all
|
|
Scent of Wrapper: Cedar and toasted nuts
Scent at Foot: nothing too noticeable, other than cedar
Appearance: Beautiful natural leaf, no veins, flawless construction
Wrapper: perfectly rolled with no imperfections
Feel: Firm, but not too firm.
Tongue: Thick tobacco, slightly spicy with a hint of vanilla
Flavor on Draw: slight tingle on the tip of my tongue, but no noticeable flavors other than a hint of cedar.
Taste: Mild, roasted nuts, cedar, with a creamy finish.
Strength: The first third of the cigar was mild and moved to a nearly medium strength for the second third and through the nub.
Feeling: Completely enjoyable and quite nice. I'm usually not into mild cigars, but this one had me wrapped the entire time.
Scent of Smoke: Again, the cedar scent was abundant and the roasted nuts were easily recognizable.
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: Nothing noticeable until the very end. Damn my big fingers
Draw: Perfect
Finish: Creamy and nutty. I spent over an hour on this cigar because it was so enjoyable.
Other aspects of the cigar: I truly enjoyed this cigar. The ash held on for about 1 1/2", the burn was perfect, even though I believe it was short/mixed fill. I'm very interested to find out which cigar this is so I can purchase a box. I'd easily recommend this cigar to anyone.

Not knowing who makes it---yet !

Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Field Grass
Sent at Foot: I love the dirt smell—earthy I guess.
Wrapper: Nice color wrapper almost a Habano color, but a little lighter. Very slight veining and the cap was spot on. I liked the wrapper—looked clean and very well made.
Feel: Tightly wrapped , very nice.
Tongue: Could not really taste anything.
Flavor on Draw: Field Grass
Smoke
Taste: The cigar from the very beginning was an easy draw and full of flavors some of which I enjoyed. Many spices but what got my attention was the pepper. Reminded me of the Oliva line.
Strength: Full.
Sent of smoke: My wife was a little upset because this was # 2 in the house today. She said this one smelled like someone was burning leaves. A good scent.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None—at all.
Draw: Great draw from start to finish.
Finish: This cigar was very relaxing and was able to get many aspect of the cigar after a good meal. It was peppery, and lots of smoke.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I also felt this was along the lines of the Oliva’s. Nice construction, burn taste and smoke. This is a Full Bodied smoke and picked up after ¼ of the smoke really well. The burn was consistent and the ash looked to be from a plant in very nicely cultivated soil. I would highly rate this smoke and would also if not already, purchase some.

Very nice flavor profile
|
|
Cons:

Bad burn
|
|
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Grassy
Scent at Foot: Earthy
Wrapper: Medium brown in color. Smaller veins throughout. Had an oily sheen to it. One green spot, prolly a water spot.
Feel: Firm but with give. Had 2 softer spots in the middle. Seems well made.
Tongue: Nothing noted
Flavor on Draw: Its weird but i got a hint of oranges.
Smoke
Taste: The flavor stayed mostly wood, oak i would say, with some cedery notes that i liked. I got nearly no pepper or spice on this. Was fairly smooth with a creamy profile. It did get a bit bitter towards the tail end of the cigar but wasnt overwhelming.
Strength: Medium
Scent of Smoke: Too windy to tell
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: Stayed cool to the touch throughout.
Draw: Near perfection.
Finish: Ceder lingers a bit. Maybe a bit grassy as well.
Ash: Grayish white in color. Fairly firm and held on decent at first but got a bit more flaky towards the middle and end. Had a sharp point in the middle of the ash that was very firm. Im thinking i had a decent size stem in there.
Burn: I didnt get to great of a burn on this one. Had to touch it up at one point since it shelfed really bad. Burned really funky throughout.
Other notes: The flavor profile i got on this was very enjoyable. A smoothness i enjoy. The construction seemed good, but again, i had a bad burn through most of the cigar. I wouldnt mind smoking this cigar on occasion for sure.
Figured Id start taking some pics to show the burn process.
