Pros: LOVED THE SMELL AND FEEL
Cons: DRAW WAS A LITTLE OFF

PRE SMOKE:
SCENT OF WRAPPER: TEA LIKE WITH HINTS OF DIFFERENT LEAVES, SMELLED LIKE FINE TEA IN A TEA SHOP.
SCENT AT FOOT: WOODY AND PEPPERY, STUNG A LITTLE WHEN I BREATHED IN DEEPLY
WRAPPER WAS LIGHT IN COLOR WITH A FEW DARK SPOTS
CIGAR WAS A LITTLE INCONSISTENT, SPONGY AT CERTAIN PARTS AND A LITTLE HARD AT OTHER PARTS. THE CIGAR WAS A LITTLE PEPPERY ON THE TOUNG WITH A CREAMY ONION FLAVOR ON THE DRAW BEFORE LIGHTING UP. THE TASTE AFTER LIGHTING WAS NUTTY WITH A HINT OF SPICY RUM. I WOULD SAY THIS CIGAR IS A MEDIUM FULL, FUNNY THOUGH IT STARTED OUT AT ABOUT MEDIUM FULL, GOT LIGHTER MAYBE A MEDIUM AND GOT FULLER TOWARD THE END. OK YOU ASKED ABOUT FEELING ON THE CIGAR WELL FOR YESTERDAY I FELT PISSED OFF AND TODAY I FELT RELAXED. ALL IN ALL I THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD CIGAR. I WOULD PAY ABOUT $4.00 - $5.00 OR THIS.

Pros: construction and appearance
Cons: a little harsh

The construction was excellent. The wrapper was tight. The cigar was firm and the cap was excellent.
The smell of the wrapper was like leather and the taste of the wrapper was nutty.
The pre-lit draw was good and I tasted nuts with a hint of chocolate.
Initial light was spicy with tastes of leather, but a bit harsh. The flavor turned sour quickly.
About 1/2" into the cigar the sourness gave way to some coffee flavor over a leather undertone with a bit of wood.
Halfway into the cigar the flavors mellowed nicely. There was a spiciness on the tongue. The smoke smelled of wood. The draw became tighter and I had to relight it as the burn developed a runner.
About 3/4 into the stick the flavor was milder, but became rather ashy tasting. The spice on tongue became stronger.
Then the cigar began to burn much easier. The finish was of leather, wood, and a nutty, bean flavor with a bit of a "tang" to it.
I would put this as a medium cigar, maybe leaning toward full.

Pros: Good construction and wrapper smell
Cons: Taste, burn, and bite

Cigar: Blind #133

Environment: About noon, low-70's with a bit of a breeze.

Prelight:
Appearance: Well shaped robusto. Medium brown wrapper with some darker mottling, very fine veins. Uniform wrapper color and texture. A bit of a sheen, but not what I would call oily.
Feel: Overall, pretty firm with a couple of soft/maybe hollow spots in the middle. The head is very firm, almost too much so.
Wrapper scent: Leather - reminded me of a RP Edge corojo
Scent @ foot: nutty, tea
Tongue: no tingle, maybe a hint of pepper
Flavor on draw: Tea - a little sour. Great draw, just enough resistance.
Prep: V-cut dead center, toasted the foot evenly. Off to a good start.

Smoke:
First third - leather and tea, some spiciness (not so much taste, but bite) out of the gate, but mellowed quickly. Light grey smoke - not a lot of it. Ash is also light grey and layered - dropped after 3/4 inch. Ragged burn line, about medium mascara (not a thick wrapper). Letting it sit for a minute or two corrects the burn a bit, but next puff it gets ragged again. Aside from the initial bite, milder end of medium smoke.

Second third - Still milder end of medium. Tea, a little leather, something spicy I can feel on the back sides of my tongue rather than taste. Burn has corrected now - sharp burn line, very thin mascara. Spiciness/bite moving toward middle of the tongue now - almost has a taste, but still more of a feel. Adequate amount of smoke, but not volumous. Ash is layered flakey grey, with some crevasses - almost an inch long this time. Noticing some earthy taste like dirt now, body is medium.

Final third - Ash dropped at an inch and the burn is a bit ragged again. Taking the opportunity to true it up again. A little stronger - still medium body. Much more bite than earlier. Never did get a lot of smoke off this one, but it was adequate. Not a lot of heat on the wrapper, which is a good thing.

Not my flavor profile, but held my interest - not flat. The bite was annoying, and I am not a fan of the tea taste. Some burn issues, and the ash does not hang on for more than an inch or less.

Overall, I would give this a rating of 5.5 - nothing I want to nub.

Webmeister scale:
X 1 - Not bad, but not memorable
2 - Maybe, but I'd like to try another stick
3 - Pretty darn good - I think I'll buy a fiver
4 - This is a keeper - gimme a box for bombing!
5 - A great stick - Buying a box to keep for myself!

On the "official" scale, I am going to give this a 5.5 overall.

7 for construction
5 for draw, ash, and volume of smoke
5 for taste and complexity

Pros: Draw, construction & flavor
Cons: Ammonia at the end of the smoking experience

Cigar #133 is a smooth feeling light brown robusto. The scent of the wrapper is of a fungal/mossy nature. The foot presented a cereal like aroma. this cigar was uniform in color with no blemishes or blotches. Feel wise, it has a consistent "give" and is neither too spongy or rigid. Upon placing my tongue on the newly cut end, I noticed a slight peppery zest. The draw flavor reminded me of a light citrus note.

The construction of this cigar was a big strength. The ash was firm and tight and lasted quite awhile. The cigar also gave off a good amount of smoke that was of a toasty flavor.

Initial light up saw a spicy heavy beginning intermixed with a roasted nut sensation. After the first few minutes of smoking, it gave way to a lighter, predominate chicory taste that lasted throughout the middle portion of the cigar. Towards the last third of the cigar, I detected a light citrus flavor that was very pleasant. The only drawback to this cigar was an unpleasant ammonia/bitterness that took over.

I rated this cigar a "6" as it was a good cigar. There wasn't a particular aspect of it that made it stand out or that truly blew my socks off.

Pros: Very nicely constructed
Cons: Slight Bite

Prelight:
Appearance: Brownish / Slight small veins
Feel: Firm & Tight
Tongue: Slight Hay
Flavor on draw: Hay / No tingle @ beginning
Prep: Straight Cut

Smoke:
First third - Consistent Hay & leathery full taste to start with a light medium strength.

Second third - This cigar started to built some character turning into a full medium hay with leathery taste. Very nice on the firm even ash.

Final third - Cigar ended with a full medium flavor, great firm ash consistency with light draw and heavy smoke.

Great cigar to enjoy with a Cuban cup of coffee or a brandy.

Overall, I would give this a rating of 6.5 and definitely wood recommend it.

Pros: Nicely constructed nice draw
Cons: Small bite

Pre-Smoke

Scent of Wrapper: hint of leather with a sweetness that was hard to put a description too.

Scent at Foot: a light sweet grass smell.

Wrapper: chocolate brown, light veins along length.

Feel: firm, well rolled.

Tongue: lightest taste a hay.

Flavor on Draw: sweet hay.

Smoke

Taste: a mixture of leather, roasted nuts and just a hint of bay leaf.

Strength: 1st third: mild-med
2nd third: solid med.
3rd third: med-full

Scent of smoke: hint of leather, touch of oak, copious amounts of smoke.

Heat on Fingers and in mouth: light

Draw: pleasant draw, a little resistance but nothing to complain about.

Finish: quick finish, hint of leather and woody taste.

Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking

Experience: relaxing enjoyable was able to nub this one.

Overall it was an enjoyable smoke that stayed fresh tasting thoughout. I would recommend this one it was pleasant to smoke, never got tarry nor bitter, the bite it developed was light and not overwhelming nor unpleasant. Held a nice firm ash.

I wish the system allowed for incremental rating as I would give this more of a 6.8 just not quite a 7.

Pros: amount of smoke and ease of smoking
Cons: first impression was harsh

Pre-Smoke

Scent of wrapper: Typical tobacco smell
Scent at foot: A little sweeter than rest of the cigar
Wrapper: Nice light sheen - light brown color - couple large veins - triple cap - slight wrinkle 2" from head
Feel: Firm with a little give - consistent head to foot
Tongue: Slight tingle on tongue
Flavor on draw: A little dusty on initial draw - no discernable flavor

Smoke

Taste: Slight sweet tate on the lips - very sharp, almost harsh taste to start - mellowed out about 1" in but kept spice
Strength: Medium
Feeling: Nice, easy to smoke - no burn issues - very "sharp" cigar
Smoke: Bountiful smoke on inhale - great smoke ring cigar
Heat: Picked up heat as it approached the "nub"
Draw: Near perfect
Finish: Long finish - held spice
Other: Easy light - nice white ash - tight burn line - first ash 1 1/2"

Overall: Somewhat harsh on the first smoke, much better second time around.

First cigar rated at 6, second at 7.5 - Glad I had two to smoke!

Pros: Burn, construction, draw & flavor
Cons: A little bite

First off....I want to state this was not a robusto. It was more of a corona size IMO. I had 2 labeled #133....so I hope they were correct.

Second I wanna go on record stating that I am 99% positive this was a Tatuaje Noella.

Pre-Smoke:

Scent of wrapper: Nothing was really unique...just tobacco
Scent of foot: This was surprising. Had a sweet - candy-like aroma.
Wrapper: Nice construction, med/dark brown, beautiful TRIPLE CAP, no veins, nice sheen.
Feel: Felt firm with slight give. Well packed. No apparent soft spots.
Tongue: Little tingle - spice
Flavor on draw: Nothing really obvious, a bit grassy.

Smoke

Taste: Was a bit harsh at first with slight bite. Aroma was really nice. tasted very familiar. Perhaps Nicaguran tobacco.
Strength: Medium
Feeling: Excellent draw and burn. White ash.
Heat: Cigar burned cool....even close to the end.
Draw: Excellent
Finish: A bit long...had some spice and coffee notes.

Overall: I thought this was a very good smoke. The initial few draws had a little bite....but that was it. Surprisingly, the apparent sweetness on the foot which was quite obvious did not play a role and none was tasted. I enjoyed this cigar, the smoke experience was very nice. Excellent white ash as well.

Overall Rating: 7
