Hey guys, here today with a fuente 8-5-8 maduro. Let me start this off by saying I had about 12 dollars in my pocket, and I picked up this cigar along with a camacho. Not a bad price point.
As for the cigar. Pre light scents: hint of tea, and hint of cedar. It was a little windy out so I didn't catch much smell. As for the foot I got the same thing. The wrapper seemed a little dry, but no major markings. It felt a little hard, maybe too tightly rolled. A little bit of tingle from the newly cut end.
Flavor from the draw was good. A little chocolate with some cream. In my opinion it stayed creamish for a litte bit. I got some wood a little bit into it. Some spice all the way through. Variated a little, but for the most part consistent taste.
This cigar was a little heavy, but that is my liking. If you want a mild cigar I would not recommend this particular stick. Light heavy I would say. Good amount of smoke, but the draw was a little tight. The cigar did not get hot at all.
As for burn, I will not even say because the amount of winds. Taking the winds into consideration I will say it was good. No official rating though.
Finish was great, like I said no real heat.
Overall a good smoke. I would give it an 8 on the scale. Good stick IMHO. If you are a maduro fan this is a must. Smoked well, ended well, all around a good smoke.
