my first review, so forgive me if it's not up to other people's standards. i may borrow some layouts from others, so I hope that's ok, too.
Got these from J&R when i happened to do a search on 'em and they happened to be on sale.
Cigar: Frank Vincent
Size: Robusto 5 x 50
Wrapper: CT shade
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Nicaraguan / Dominican Republic
Price: $3.20 @ J&R (even cheaper w/ buy 1, get 1 free sale)
Pre-light:
Wrapper wasn't the most perfect looking, but was nice and silky. Smelled nice. Cut w/ my Palio and was one of the cleanest cuts I've had lately.
Post-light:
Nice smooth draw from start to finish. Burned very evenly. Not one touch-up or re-light. Ash was a nice light gray color. Decent amount of smoke on every exhale. Ash held on until almost the label. I nubbed this bad boy and not once did it burn hot.
Taste:
Initial taste was a hint of nutty followed partway through the cigar by a grassy/earthy flavor. Mild - medium.
Overall:
A very, very good $3 smoke. Would make a great everyday cigar. Mine lasted a little bit over an hour. Will buy more of these especially if they're still on sale when I go to buy them. Not ready to give a number value yet since this is only my first "official" review.
