Gurkha Legend "8 year aged" Robusto
Size-6"
Ring-50
Received this with a 5 pack from C-bid.
Stored in humidor for 2 weeks at 72 F and 67% RH
I smoked it after dinner in the garage relaxing while listening to some Janes Addiction (ritual de lo habitual). While enjoying an ice cold Mug root beer(perfect compliment).
I have been wanting to try this since I got it but figured I would let it settle for a week or two. I grabbed it from the humidor. The band was beautiful. It had a very solid feel to it. I cut it with a freebie cutter from the B&M. Prelight was very nice and cedary. The draw seemed to be tight. I toasted with wooden matches then light her up. It had a very spicy initial flavor, not bad but it was definately not a mellow cigar. I noticed the draw was actually better than I thought it would be. There was a cedary/cocoa/leathery taste, but a very nice blend of all.
About 1/3 through I had to touch it up a little. It had a nice solid light grey ash. I ashed it at about 2 inches. The flavor was still very nice.
At about 1/2 way through I started to get a nice earthy tone. The other flavors were there but enhanced by the earthyness.
At 2/3 through it got a little hot and spicy once or twice which was nice. I started to get a lil buzz and had to have a seat. I also had to touch it up again, it started to run down one side. I smoked it till about 1 1/2" left.
This is one of the better cigars I have had since I have started smoking and would definately suggest it to anyone who has not had one. I hope my first review was not too bad.
