Description: Behold the Edicion Especial 'Achilles' – a beautiful handmade blended by Ernesto and crafted by Jose "Pepin" Garcia. Hailing from Nicaragua, the café-colored Achilles is what cigar dreams are made of. Padilla Achilles is densely packed with Cuban-seed tobaccos from the fertile soils of Nicaragua. Patiently aged, this hearty blend is graced by a stunning Corojo wrapper. This choice, dark brown leaf is smooth as silk and super leathery in appearance. A burst of creamy flavors is the first thing you'll notice, followed by a series of intense, cedary flavors. The spicy aftertaste mellows at the midway point, where sweet cedar coats the palate after each draw. Full-bodied throughout, the Achilles is an eventful cigar.

Pros: great complexity, great look
Cons: flaky ash, MSRP

THis cigar has a beutifull brown Corojo wrapper with some showing veins. It looks like it has a great construction and the pre-light pull feels just perfect

Once the cigar is lit and a few puffs are taken the first impression is this will be a very strong cigar due to the incredible spiciness you feel right from the start. A few inches into it though the cigar starts to mellow out a bit with some cedar notes creeping into the mix.

As you progress past the half point the taste is atually cremy with spice, cedar and woodsy notes in it. Now it is still a complex cigar but you are tricked into believeing that it might not be as strong as the initial spices indicated.

The burn is very crisp I did not have to touch it up at all, but the ash is light greay and a bit flaky.

Once I put this down I was assured that the corojo and other strong tobaccos did its job as my headwas a bit light.

A great experience for the more seasoned smoker, but not something I would reccomend to a newb

Also I rated this a 7 beacause the MSRP is about $7. I happened to buy these on the special for $2.50 so that would put the overall to 8-8.5 for sure
