Pros: Burn was even and the smoke was very pleasant
Cons: Not too complex

I enjoy a wide variety of cigars and this Don Douglas Cabinet Series is a fine smoke. It is on the mild side for sure and is a cigar that does not require much attention in terms of figuring out the flavors - that said it is a great cigar for me to simply relax with and I would enjoy smoking this stick again. I was not able to burn the cigar to the nub and so I can't give an evaluation on that aspect of the smoke. I rate it an 8 and look forward to hearing more reviews about this cigar.

Pros: lots of smoke! and good smelling smoke.
Cons: too much bitterness in the beginning

scent of wrapper: barnyard and hay or straw?

scent at foot: straw or hay. kind of sweet

wrapper appearance: not many veins, but a very bumpy appearance

feel: extremely spongy / I thought it was way over humidified, but there was no stuggle in burn or pull.

flavor on draw: still the barnyardy taste with hay or straw and a little bit of sweetness.

taste: the first 1/3 was quite bitter leading into leather and cocoa, the 2/3 was more of a buttery leather flavor that didnt last long enough for me. 3/3 stayed pretty consistant til right at the end and became pretty harsh.

strength: Mild to medium?

feeling: I did have a heavy buzz by the time i had finished this one. *see additional notes

scent of smoke: kind of sweet, not abrasive at all

draw: great amounts of smoke.

finish: leather

additional notes: wrapper started to unravel towards the end. I paired this with Old Resputin Stout, which i had never had before. 9% so i dont know if that was a major influence on my "buzz feeling" would try again with water just to be sure.
